Problem Statement
In our local area of Delmarva and beyond, over 95% of people, that were surveyed online through social media, have reported that there is a lack of seating in public spaces and there is interest in a product to solve the issue.
Summary
Over the past two weeks of work we have found an interesting problem that the according to the public could be solved. When we first began our research for other problems, we believed that we already found a perfect problem to solve; however, after researching dozens of articles we found that there were far better problems to solve. After we put together a decision matrix for the problems we found that the best problem to solve was based on lack of seating in public spaces. Next we researched articles online that helped prove our problem truly existed and the articles also gave us ideas for qualities that the product should exhibit. For more evidence of the problem we created a survey that was spread out locally on Facebook and also on Reddit, later we checked the results of the survey and it supported our problem statement.
